Met-Chem 100 Gallon Laboratory Batch Waste Water Treatment System

For low volume wastewater applications, 0-400 gallons per day, we suggest utilizing our Samsco Thermal Evaporation System or our Poly Products Flow Through Evaporation Systems. However, in some applications evaporation is not an option. This can range from not having the room available, to not being able to permit the air discharge, and finally due to MOC issues. In these situations we would recommend a traditional Batch Waste Water Treatment System with the Met-Chem 100 gallon Laboratory Batch Waste Water Treatment System.

In laboratories, particularly those dealing with chemicals and various waste streams, effective wastewater treatment is crucial to meeting discharge standards. Laboratories generate a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The Met-chem Batch Waste Water Treatment System, specifically the 100-gallon batch treatment model, is an ideal solution for these needs.

The batch system has the capability to treat for metals, cyanide, chrome, TSS, BOD, and other pollutants. The batch treatment style ensures proper treatment of the waste solution prior to sending it down the drain.

Key Features of the 100-Gallon Metchem Batch Treatment System

  1. Compact Design: The      100-gallon system is designed to fit into limited spaces, making it ideal      for laboratories where space is at a premium. The entire system is      contained on one 6’ x 6’ metal stand.
  2. Versatility: Capable of      treating a wide range of waste streams, including chemical wastes,      biological wastes, and mixed waste types, the system can adapt to various      laboratory needs. This can include Cyanide Treatment, Chrome Conversion,      and traditional metals treatment as well as BOD, TSS, and oils.
  3. Efficiency: With advanced      treatment processes, the system ensures high levels of contaminant      removal, ensuring the treated water meets regulatory standards.
  4. User-Friendly      Operation: The system is designed for ease of use, with intuitive controls      and automated processes that reduce the need for constant supervision.
  5. Durability: Built with      high-quality materials, the Metchem system is durable and reliable,      ensuring long-term performance with minimal maintenance.
  6. Chemistry- Met-Chem offers      no charge lab testing of your solution to come up with a chemical      treatment plan
  7. Installation- The entire      laboratory batch treatment system, including the filter press and control      panel, are mounted to the skid/stand. All interconnected plumbing and      electrical is connected so the system ships ready to operate.

How the Met-chem Batch Treatment System Works

The 100-gallon Met-chem laboratory batch treatment system follows a straightforward but effective process for treatment of waste water:

  1. Collection: Wastewater is      collected in a 100-gallon tank, ensuring that all laboratory waste streams      are captured and contained.
  2. Chemical Treatment: Specific      chemicals are added to the wastewater to neutralize harmful substances and      facilitate the removal of contaminants. The exact chemicals used can be      tailored to the type of waste being treated. This traditional entails      acid, caustic, polymer, and/or a coagulant
  3. Filtration: After      chemical treatment, the water is filtered via a Met-Chem filter press to  remove suspended solids.
  4. Discharge: Once treated,      the water can be safely discharged or reused, depending on the      laboratory’s needs and local regulations.
